We compare more than 100 insurance companies and get quotes from the ones that fit your business best. No gaps, nothing you don't need.
03
Matched at the best rate

What landscaping insurance covers.
Landscaping insurance is a combination of policies. Which ones you need depends on what you install, what you apply, and who your contracts are with.
Tell us about your operation and we'll put together the right ones.
01
General Liability
Third-party injury and property damage — the line every HOA and property manager asks for. Many forms exclude pesticide and herbicide work; we place forms that don't.
When it matters: your mower throws a rock through the client's bay window.
02
Workers' Comp
Employee injuries, required in most states once you hire. Seasonal crews and mixed field/office payroll are where landscapers get misrated — clean class splits lower what you pay.
When it matters: a crew member goes down lifting pavers and is out for six weeks.
03
Commercial Auto
Trucks and the trailers behind them, hauling crews, mowers, and material. Personal auto policies exclude business use — with a loaded trailer on the hitch, that argument is over.
When it matters: your loaded trailer swings wide and takes out a parked car.
04
Tools & Equipment
Inland marine coverage for mowers, skid steers, and hand tools — on the job, in transit, and overnight on the trailer, where most theft actually happens.
When it matters: the zero-turn is gone off the trailer when you come out in the morning.
05
Umbrella & Excess
The extra limits HOA, municipal, and commercial contracts require — often $2M over your GL before you're on the approved-vendor list. Cheaper than most landscapers expect.
When it matters: a municipal contract asks for $2M in coverage you don't carry.
Why landscapers stay with Casey.
Casey is an independent insurance agency, which means we work for you, not an insurance company. We compare coverage and rates from more than 100 carriers to find the right fit for your business. Our technology takes care of the busywork, so quotes, certificates, and policy changes happen faster and your dedicated agent has more time to focus on you.
Claims advocacy
When something goes wrong, your broker works the claim on your side — not the carrier's.
Re-shopped every renewal
Most renewals are defensive. Ours aren't — we work the market ahead of time so the best terms find you every year, automatically.
Certificates, instantly
Self-serve COIs the moment a job site or landlord asks. No calling, no waiting, no office hours.
Landscaping insurance, answered.
What happens after I submit?+−
A licensed specialist will get in touch within a few minutes, take the time to learn about your business, and advise you on what coverage you need. From there, we shop the market to find the insurance company with the best value for you.
How much does landscaping insurance cost?+−
It depends on your work mix, payroll, and claims history. The benchmarks above show the typical range — installs, hardscape, chemical application, and crews push it up. We shop 100+ carriers so you see the real number for your operation.
Does my policy cover fertilizer and weed-control work?+−
Only if the form allows it — many standard GL forms exclude pesticide and herbicide application outright. Tell us what you apply and whether you hold an applicator license; we place forms that include chemical work.
My mower was stolen off the trailer overnight. Is that covered?+−
Not by your auto or GL policy — that's inland marine (tools & equipment) coverage, which follows your gear on the job, in transit, or parked overnight. If your equipment is financed, your lender usually requires it.
What about snow plowing in the winter?+−
Say so up front — snow and ice removal is one of the most commonly excluded exposures on landscaping policies, and one of the most litigated. If plowing is part of your year, we quote a form that includes it or place it separately.
